Rock Bottom is the second solo album by former Soft Machine drummer Robert Wyatt. He wrote his masterpiece "Rock Bottom" during the hospital stay following a serious accident in 73, his legs paralyzed forever. The album is a work of great beauty, outside of time and fashion, with dreamy atmospheres and painful at the same time. "In Rock Bottom and in the later stuff I recognize myself but my teenager, the biped drummer ... I do not remember and do not understand. It is hard to talk about how I was before, (...) I see the incident as a sort of line of demarcation between my adolescence and the rest of my life". One of the masterpieces of Robert Wyatt will never forget in my life.

Rock Botton è il secondo album da solista del batterista dei Soft Machine, Robert Wyatt. Wyatt scrisse il suo capolavoro "Rock Bottom" durante la degenza in ospedale in seguito al grave incidente che, nel 73, paralizzò per sempre le sue gambe. Il disco è un opera di grande bellezza, al di fuori del tempo e delle mode, con atmosfere sognanti e sofferte al tempo stesso. “In Rock Bottom e nelle cose successive mi riconosco ma il mio Io adolescente, il bipede batterista… non lo ricordo e non lo capisco. Mi costa fatica parlare di come ero prima; (…) vedo l' incidente come una specie di linea di netta demarcazione tra la mia adolescenza e il resto della mia vita”. Uno dei capolavori di Robert Wyatt che non dimenticherò mai nella mia vita.
