Fools Meeting is an album by Carol Grimes with the British blues/progressive rock band Delivery, originally released in 1970. A very original album, it is hard to find progressive rock groups, who choose to play with a singer with a lot of blues tones. Surely the warm and strong tones of the singer change many kind of the band, I think in a positive way, making each track very suggestive and interesting, as well as adrenalinic.
From my point of view is a great combination, made possible mainly by incredible musicians
who played in the band as: Phil Miller, Roy Babbington, Steve Miller and Pip Pyle and with the collaboration of Lol Coxhill and Roddy Skeaping. None of the songs is superficial and obvious, as we are used to hearing from the Canterbury Scene who has always given strong emotions. This album isn't a milestone in the history of Progressive Rock, but definitely a nice experience to do.

Fools Meeting è un album di Carol Grimes con i Delivery ,una band di British Blues/progressive rock, originariamente realizzato nel 1970. Un album molto originale, è difficile trovare gruppi di Rock Progressivo, che scelgono di suonare con cantanti con tonalità molto blues.Sicuramente le tonalità calde e forti della cantante cambiano molto il genere della band, secondo me in modo positivo, che rendono ogni traccia molto suggestiva e interessante, oltre che adrenalinica. Dal mio punto di vista è una grande combinazione, resa possibile soprattutto da musicisti incredibili che suonavano nella band come: Phil Miller, Roy Babbington, Steve Miller e Pip Pyle e con la collaborazione di Lol Coxhill e Roddy Skeaping. Nessuna delle canzoni è superficiale e ovvia, come siamo abituati a sentire dalla Scena di Canterbury che ci ha sempre regalato emozioni forti. Questo album non è di certo una pietra miliare della storia del Rock Progressivo, ma sicuramente una bella esperienza da fare.

Valentyne Suite is a 1969 album by Colosseum.
The Colosseum descended from the roots of british-blues. The record, however, is detached from the canons of blues-rock and plays the first jazz-rock facade and in the second typically progressive. Not surprisingly Valentine Suite, the song that fills the entire B-side, not just from the name to the album, making it one of the first album of British progressive, but also established him among the cornerstones of making such an important part of the long history of rock. The disc also has another historical place: the first is labeled "Vertigo", one of the most important of its kind undergrond-progressive. I want to recommend to all of you to listen to this record, because it marked the successive generations of progressive.

Valentyne Suite è un album del 1969 dei Colosseum. I Colosseum discendono dalle radici del british-blues. Il disco, però, si stacca dai canoni del rock-blues e suona nella prima facciata jazz-rock e nella seconda tipicamente progressive. Non a caso Valentine Suite, il brano che riempie interamente il lato B, non solo da il nome all’album rendendolo uno dei primi album del progressive britannico, ma addirittura lo consacra tra le pietre miliari di questo genere facendone un importante tassello della lunga storia del rock. Il disco ha, inoltre, un’altra valenza storica: è il primo con etichetta “Vertigo”, una delle più importanti del genere undergrond-progressive. Voglio consigliare a tutti voi di ascoltare questo disco, perchè ha segnato le generazioni successive di progressive

Safe as Milk is the debut album by Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band, originally released in 1967. Although the playing time of the tracks rarely exceed three minutes Safe As Milk already contains many of those who will be the distinctive sound of a brand Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, beginning with a deep and raspy voice and a background instrumental deliberately unable to circumscribe the impulses of the diaphragmatic leader of the group.
Each track has a different taste, a different tone, everything seems to make you imagine what the band wants to express.
It was definitely an album that marked the history and I never get tired of listening to.

Benché il minutaggio dei brani superi raramente i tre minuti Safe As Milk contiene già molti di quelli che saranno gli elementi distintivi del suono a marca Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, a cominciare da una voce gracchiante e profonda e da un background strumentale volutamente incapace di circoscrivere gli impeti diaframmatici del leader del gruppo. Ogni traccia ha un sapore diverso, un tono diverso, tutto sembra di farti immaginare che cosa la band vuole esprimere. E' sicuramente un album che ha segnato la storia e che non mi stancherò mai di ascoltare.
