Delivery - Fools Meeting
09 November 2013 by Facelift27
From my point of view is a great combination, made possible mainly by incredible musicians
who played in the band as: Phil Miller, Roy Babbington, Steve Miller and Pip Pyle and with the collaboration of Lol Coxhill and Roddy Skeaping. None of the songs is superficial and obvious, as we are used to hearing from the Canterbury Scene who has always given strong emotions. This album isn't a milestone in the history of Progressive Rock, but definitely a nice experience to do.
For Italians:

Caravan - Waterloo Lily
35 July 2013 by Facelift27
For Italians:

Hatfield and the North - Rotters' Club
027 June 2013 by Facelift27
For Italians:
The Rotters' Club è il secondo album degli Hatfield and the North. GODETEVELO!

Matching Mole - Matching Mole
019 June 2013 by Facelift27
For Italians:

Khan - Space Shanty
017 June 2013 by Facelift27
For Italians:

Gong - Flying Teapot
014 June 2013 by Facelift27
"Radio Gnome Invisible". The song of welcome to planet Gong bizarre fairy-tale begins with a mysterious introduction that soon dissolves into its joyous nature of the album, telepathic contact between the pot head pixies, messengers flying in teapots, and the hero Zero, personified by Allen , is established with alternating moments of hilarious mysticism, the famous refrain "... nirvana, banana, mañana ...", and other revelations about the nature of the planet, with the tools that weave wildly between frequent changes of pace and scenery. "Flying Teapot". Judged by many as the most artistically interesting piece on the album, opens with a dip in space driven by the synthesizer and the languid sighs of Gilli, and the journey into the new reality, while the pot head pixie explains how to interpret telepathic messages, passes between the planets jazz Malherbe and those psychedelic guitars to result in a growing global dominated by syncopated drums, with Zero being invited to drink the magical Tibetan tea. The musicians independently, taking in turn the main scene, but the sequences are linked together with harmony and originality."Pot Head Pixies". The goblins appear to Zero with a funny text accompanied by a properly brilliant music and stunning, notify him that they are crazy freaks like him and to keep in touch with them."The Octave Doctors & The Crystal Machine. Dedication to the sacred" Doctors of the Eighth ", the powerful beings that rule the universe through music, instrumental piece written by Blake, nicknamed moonweed (grass moon), and conducted mainly by his synthesizer . This piece is reminiscent of "Welcome to the Machine", that Pink Floyd would have made two years later."Zero The Hero & The Witch's Spell". This long suite opens with the emphatic declaration of love Zero, which flows more air jazz disk, in which the inspired sax Malherbe communicates with excellent percussion Houari. In the course of the piece the Good Witch, played by Smyth with his "space whispers," performs a spell to Zero, making him a slave to his will."Witch's Song / I Am Your Pussy". The closing track is connected to the previous one, and is based fundamentally on the capabilities of the bewitching witch, who claims to reciprocate the love of Zero in the most classic and attractive style Gong: an astonishing rate and enthralling ripping more than a smile to the listener. The album closes with Zero celebrating the love for each other by offering the witch fried fish and chips.

Soft Machine - Third
013 June 2013 by Facelift27
The album is full of musical genius, surely you can see the influence of the components from jazz, although this album is more than jazz rock, is the Canterbury scene! mixes many genres, so many tones, incredible time changes, and I think in this album Robert Wyatt gives the best of himself, his voice should be regarded as a musical instrument, Facelift and Moon In June are my favorite tracks, but the other two tracks on the whole do a job for me studied in details. Although I don' t know who deserves more because the rest of the group are truly exceptional and genious musicians, maybe this is the cd that expresses a musical quality that surpasses anything!
For italians:

Caravan - In The Land Of Grey And Pink
012 June 2013 by Facelift27
For Italians:
In the Land of Grey and Pink è il terzo album dei Caravan.

Egg - The Polite Force
010 June 2013 by Facelift27
For italians:
Buon Ascolto a tutti!
