The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) is the third solo album by British musician Steven Wilson, released by Kscope Music Records on 25 February 2013. This album, like its predecessors, is an attempt to make a mark in the present with her head turned to the past, but also the masochistic seeking of a confrontation from which he can not leave diminished. There isn't a terrible ambient, prog here is copyright by continual references to the 70s played as God intended. Many of the sections of the album bring to the legendary King Crimson and Gentle Giant. Thanks to him, the prog classic - an old ghost forgotten in the depths of memory and history - is back on the hearth.Wilson can do it.

Questo disco, come i precedenti, è un tentativo di lasciare un segno nel presente con la testa rivolta al passato, ma anche la  masochistica ricerca di un confronto dal quale lui non può che uscire sminuito.The Raven That Refused To Sing è un ottimo disco, a tratti stratosferico sotto tutti i punti di vista. Qui non c’è ambient di serie d, qui c’è prog d’autore con continui richiami agli anni 70 suonati come Dio comanda. Molti tratti dell'album riportano ai mitici Gentle Giant e King Crimson. Grazie a lui, il prog classico - un vecchio fantasma dimenticato nei meandri della memoria e della storia - è tornato sulla terra.Wilson lo sa fare.
